Man of God, consecrated to spread the Gospel through the means of social communication, registered journalist in the Professional Album of Journalists, but, above all, religious of intense spiritual life: thus Blessed Timothy Giaccardo, the first priest of the Society of St. Paul, is presented (1896-1948). Giorgio Papasogli, a well known  hagiographer, in few lines, introduces us into the first half of the century, a time of troubled transitin and aurora of our days in which Blessed Giaccardo lived and worked. However, he dwells at length on the intense spiritual life of Blessed Giaccardo: in love with supernatural realities docile to the impulses of grace, in constant tension towards his conformity with the Divine Master, his luminous goal, tenderly devoted to the Virgin Mary. Don Giacomo Alberione, founder of the Pauline Family (five religious congregations, four aggregated institutes, one association of cooperators), of which Blessed Giaccardo was "a very beloved son" and "faithful collaborator," testified. "In the Pauline Family, Don Giaccardo was like the heart and the soul. The most faithful among the faithful, he was the teacher who preceded everyone with example, taught everything, gave advice to everyone, edified everyone with his enlightened and fervent prayer."
